oval box, the cover, sides and base set with panels of translucent dark-blue enamel over an engine-turned ground within white enamel and polished gold frames, the cover centred with an oval enamel plaque depicting a classical scene in a chased gold frame, the outer sablé gold borders with slightly raised trailing blue and green enamel foliage between white enamel flowerheads, chased red, blue and white enamel foliate pilasters, in original tooled red leather case
