With browned replacement (by the makers) 28 in. (71 cm.) damascus black powder only barrels (serial no. 6279) sighted to 200 yards, action with carved percussion fences, bolted back-action locks, border and scroll engraving throughout, traces of original case-hardened finish in sheltered areas, figured 14 ½ in. pistolgrip stock, weight 7 lbs. 15 ½ oz.
Provenance
The makers have kindly confirmed that this rifle was completed on 25 January 1876 for Taylor & Leisk (agents).
