Lot Essay

The present Rolex is extremely appealing in its aesthetic. With a gold rivet bracelet in excellent condition that appears to have rarely been worn given how tight it is, the watch has luminous hands and a white luminous dial with four diamond hour markers: one at 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock, 9 o’clock and 12 o’clock. Of further interest is the fact it was given by an important Middle Eastern leader to a gentleman that had a legendary career in the Middle East spanning decades. The gentleman is still living and thrilled to learn of the rarity of this watch. He wore it only a few times in his life.
