La diseuse de bonne aventure (The fortune teller); and Le galant entreprenant (The enterprising seducer)

A more finished version of The enterprising seducer is recorded in the sale catalogue of the Albert Meyer collection (Paris, Galerie Charpentier, 15 June 1938, lot 47, entitled Les repasseuses). Touzé was a pupil of Jean-Baptiste Greuze (1725-1805), and is known for his slightly bawdy scenes of peasant life.
