TWO MINIATURE OVERLAY GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES
1770-1860
The first, translucent cloudy-glass bottle, 1780-1850, is carved through the transparent blue, pale green and ruby overlays with two peony blossoms on leafy stems with a squirrel and a butterfly. The second, transparent green-glass bottle, 1770-1860, is carved through the transparent red and opaque pale green overlay with four bats amidst clouds.
