A FIVE-COLOR-OVERLAY MILKY-WHITE GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
1800-1880
The bottle is carved through the transparent red, green, blue, black and amber-tone overlay, to the opaque milky-white ground on both sides with a spotted deer, a bat, a rock, and a mandarin duck with a lotus pad, blossom and seed pod. The narrow sides are decorated with flowering plants above the red foot rim.
