A PAIR OF FAMILLE VERTE 'GARLIC HEAD' VASES
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
Each has an ovoid body decorated with four petal-shaped panels alternately enclosing 'antiques' or flowers and insects, which include peony and chrysanthemum, below a band of cell diaper on the shoulder and a ruyi head border and flower scroll-filled cloud collar at the bottom and top of the waisted neck.
