Lot Essay

This pair of unusual bowls is similar to a bowl of the same shape and size sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 3-4 December 2015, lot 519, but the blue and white decoration on the interior is of four beribboned lanterns rather than the roses and lingzhi of the present bowls.
