J. Richardson Jun. (L. 2170), his inscription 'Antonio Roli nato in Bologna, l'anno 1643; imparò dal Colonna, e si fece prattico nella quadratura, con/[G]ioseffo suo fratello, figurista; l'anno 1695 precipitò dal palio, e mori: Orlandi/See also the Article of Gioseffo Roli who seems to have painted This, and the fellow to it, in Germany Salone of the Prince of Baden's Palace'.
