Lot Essay

Marcel Derny is recorded at Sèvres as a sculptor, active 1936-1976.  The present stoneware model is related to an edition in bronze, an example of which from the estate of Morton Swinsky was sold Christie’s New York, 3-4 April 2012, sale 2542, lot 507 ($1,000).
