20 parts in 3 volumes, 4° (184 x 241 mm). Engraved additional title, engraved folding vignette, engraved folding portrait, 3 engraved titles (using the same plates with manuscript addition to the volume number), 3 engraved plates of vignettes or coat-of-arms, 20 engraved section titles, and 273 engraved plates (11 folding maps) showing maps, plans, topographical views and other subjects. (A few tears to folding plates, some occasional minor staining.) Contemporary vellum, spine titled in ink “Coronelli Teatro da Guerr” and numbered “T4, T5, T6” (light worming to spines).

La Francia, divisa in XII. Prefetture forms volumes 4-6 a section of Coronelli’s much larger Teatro della Guerra. According to Nordenskiöld it comprises 20 volumes. In the Nordenskiöld copy, La Francia occupies volumes 5-7, with maps in variant order. The work describes various theatres of war. Composition of the Teatro della Guerra varies, and the plates are numbered out of sequence. Due to the lack of a definitive collation, this is sold not subject to return. Nordenskiöld 59.
