4 volumes, 12° (133 X 80 mm). 4 hand-colored engraved frontispieces and 76 plates. (Some minor occasional spotting.) Contemporary French calf gilt, spines gilt-stamped in compartments with figures (extremities rubbed); cloth and board slipcase.

FIRST EDITION. 2 further volumes of the work were published in 1812. However, as Colas states, "Les quatres premiers volumes forment un ensemble complet." The title-pages call for a total of only 74 plates.
