ULISSE CANTAGALLI, FLORENCE, ITALY, LATE 19TH CENTURY
Of bulbous form rising from short slightly splayed foot to tapering neck with straight mouth, simple handle leading from the mouth to the body, the painted decoration consisting of two wide registers of tulip sprays rising from green cintamanis between thin bands of stylised flower blooms, on blue field, the handle with black brush strokes, on white ground, the base with maker's mark and marked ITALIA
