Designed to commemorate the first moon landing by Apollo 11 in 1969, this gold model was created by Louis Osman and Malcolm Appleby, two of Britain’s celebrated engravers and silversmiths. Among the sculpted craters, a single diamond is set at the location of the historic landing. The four original models were presented to the three crew members, astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, and the fourth to Rose Kennedy.
