A PEARL-INSET PALE CELADON JADE STANDING FIGURE OF SHAKYAMUNI
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
Shakyamuni is depicted with his left hand held in dhyanamudra and his right hand lowered in varadamudra. He is dressed in long flowing robes, delicately incised and gilt with floral scrolls and his chest is adorned with inset pearls. The stone is of a pale celadon tone with some milky-russet mottled inclusions.
