A BRONZE 'DRAGON' CENSER AND COVER
17TH-18TH CENTURY
The censer is heavily-cast with stylised lotus petals to the sides and two mythical beast-head handles. The reticulated cover is cast with a dragon amongst scrolling clouds, encircling the finial which bears an apocryphal Xuande mark. There is a coiled dragon cast in relief to the base.
