A GROUP OF FIVE SMALL HARDWOOD AND BAMBOO BRUSH POTS, BITONG
19TH AND 20TH CENTURY
The group comprises: a hardwood brush pot, densely carved with two dragons contesting a flaming pearl amongst scrolling clouds; a bamboo brush pot carved with lotus and a jihai cyclical date; a bamboo brush pot carved with a boy riding a buffalo; a bamboo brush pot carved with a calligraphic inscription; and a bamboo brush pot carved with a 'crane' panel surrounded by a long inscription.
The largest, 5 in. (13 cm.) high
