An iconic detail and a long standing favorite of Rolex collectors, it is defined by its elaborate engraving alternating Arabic and baton numerals with milled sectors. Its name derives from a period Rolex catalogue, where it appears on a piece which also bears on its dial the logo of the US Air Force flying team, known as “The Thunderbirds”.
