Lot Essay

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming manufacture of the present watch with silvered dial with raised gold Breguet numerals in 1930 and its subsequent sale on 12 February 1931.

This watch is a perfect example of an Art Deco wristwatch by Patek Philippe's, distinguished by the elegant combination of the white gold case with yellow gold bezel and the dial with the much sought after Breguet numerals, all enhanced by the retailer's signature Eberhard Milan. Another particularity is the small black hard enamel line underneath the letters "NE" of the writing "GENEVE", centred below the signature.
