The box with overhanging lid decorated in gold hiramaki-e, takamaki-e and kirikane with open and closed fans depicting various flowers and trees amongst scattered sprigs, the underside of the lid with bamboo and peony on a nashiji ground, box fitted with a tray, an inkstone and a silver waterdropper in the form of overlapping fans, nashiji interior, fundame rims
