A LARGE JUN PURPLE-SPLASHED BOWL
YUAN-MING DYNASTY (1279-1644)
The thickly potted bowl is covered on the exterior with a milky blue glaze suffused almost entirely with deep violet-red splashes which extend sporadically onto the interior, against a broadly crackled sky-blue glazed ground, the glaze stopping irregularly above the foot revealing the purplish-brown body.
