The Following twenty-eight Lots have been designed and made especially for this sale by the leading Bear Artists. Each Lot has been donated by the Artist to raise money for the Feldioria Childrens Home in Oradea, Romania. THE FELDIORIA CHILDRENS HOME, ROMANIA This is a mixed home of up to 200 children, with about 160 occupants at present they are aged between 3 and 14 years of age. Most of the children come into care through the local authority channels being either abandoned by their parents or removed from the parental home by social services. Once in care they are very unlikely to return home and most of them have no experience of stable family life. The Home is run through the Christian Childrens fund of Great Britain working with the Associatia Romania pentru Actiuni die Caritate 'ARAC' a local Romanian charity based in Oradea where the home is situated. The home is well run but needs funds to improve nutrition, medical care, education, laundry and sanitary facilities. The main problem is the roofing. This was covered with tar which has deteriorated and the whole home which consists of three buildings needs redoing. The roofs have been repaired a number of times with tarmac, and it is felt that a proper tiled roof would mead no more repairs. To do the whole home would be very expensive, but we feel if we could repair the dining room, which is the worst, (10,000 could fund this. That is what we should all like to raise through the sale of these very special pieces.

Beth of The Toy Store Holland Ohio USA has donated this Steiff bear. This bear was created by steiff as a Limited Edition of 1500. Petsile is a variation Petsy and is unique with his ultrasuede pads, gold plated bells and a gold plated button in his ear.
