Lot Essay

According to the archives of OMEGA SA, the current watch was delivered to Germany on December 6th, 1939.

With interest in vintage OMEGA chronographs with multi-scale dials and with caliber 33.3 movements continuing to increase at a rapid clip, particularly those in large 38mm cases with mushroom instead of square or olive pushers, the present watch ticks the boxes of what collectors are seeking, including with an unusual, rare, and highly-charismatic non-luminous black dial. The exciting feeling from seeing and wearing the present chronograph is undeniable, and makes it an important and special watch for a discerning collector.
