Lot Essay

Accompanied by an original fitted Cartier presentation box.

The present Cartier example offers collectors a fantastic representation of the celebrated firm's iconic desk clocks, produced in the late 1940s to early 1950s. It is incredibly attractive due to its unusual teal colored enamel border, blued steel luminous hands, and luminous fancy Arabic hour markers. The clock correctly features a movement made by European Watch & Clock Company, and its original fitted Cartier presentation box adds to the charm of this special timepiece.
