A SMALL CARVED DUAN INK STONE AND A CARVED BAMBOO BOX AND COVER
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The underside of the ink stone is carved with two inscriptions. The ink stone is accommodated in a bamboo box and cover of conforming shape, similarly carved in relief with melons borne on leafy vines and a grasshopper.
