Lot Essay

Part of the elite, watches encompassing multiple complications such as the perpetual calendar and chronograph functions, are to be produced only within a handful of manufactures.

The perpetual calendar, one of the most challenging complications for a watchmaker, takes into account irregular months and leap years, enabling the calendar of the wristwatch to run without the need for manual adjustment until the end of each century. By adding the chronograph function, regarded by many as “the original” complication, the large number of moving parts contained by the movement leaves watchmakers with extremely scarce room for error, as each part could affect the accuracy of the mechanism.

Combining two of the most popular functions amongst collectors, the wealth of information provided by the present wristwatch is transcribed through an elegant and well-balanced dial design, allied with a refined platinum case.
In excellent overall condition, the present wristwatch is furthermore offered in with all its accessories.
