Lot Essay

The case is exceptionally hand engraved in a pattern that can almost be described as organic. The genius of this design is it predates the trends of the 1960s by almost a half century in terms of jewelry and watch design. Even the white enamel dial with blue cartouche Arabic numerals highlights a technique of dial making that no maker can exactly replicate today.
