Described as “Walnut Corner Cupboard. Scroll Top. Carved. 3 Flames” by Mrs. Blair in her 1943 inventory, this cupboard was purchased from the New York dealer Charles Woolsey Lyon in March 1928 for $7,000. Mrs. Blair also noted that the cupboard came from the Schott estate, from Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse “St.”, probably a reference to Rittenhouse Square.
