The thin disc has a large central aperture with very slightly rounded inner wall, and the semi-translucent stone has a satiny polish. Together with a mottled brown and beige jade disc, Shang dynasty (c. 1600-1100 BC), the semi-translucent stone has some cloudy opaque alteration on one side.
3 7/8 and 3 3/8 in. (9.8 and 8.5 cm.) diam.
