LOTS 43-57PROPERTY FROM THE COLLECTION OF DR. CHEN JIThis collection was assembled by Dr. Chen Ji (1896-circa 1982), who was a professor of pediatrics at St. John’s School of Medicine in Shanghai. Dr. Chen brought the collection to the United States in 1965. His son, Chen Lien-ching (1922-2016), who was an architect who immigrated to the U.S. around 1945. Both father and son appreciated classical paintings and calligraphy, and also befriended contemporary artists, whose work they enjoyed and collected.
