JANIS JOPLIN
A pair of cotton bell-bottom style pants. The waistband trousers are designed in a multi-color flower motif in red, blue, green and yellow. Sewn onto the seat of the pants is a scalloped red satin flower with blue thread, positioned to hide a rip in the seam. Together with a 1970 color photograph of Janis Joplin taken by Miriam Vermes in a Toronto hotel room.
