Each with everted lip and shaped socle, the conforming pedestal of panelled rectangular form with black marble base
The vases: 47 in. (119.5 cm.) high; 35 in. (89 cm.) diameter
The pedestals: 39 in. (99 cm.) high; 26 ¼ in. (66.5 cm.) square

With their mask-form mounts, the present pair of lapis lazuli urns are related to a vase in The State Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg, dated to circa 1839-1845 (Э.2604) with similar handles.
