A WUCAI 'DRAGON AND PHOENIX' BOWL
QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The bowl is decorated on the exterior with two five-clawed dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls and two phoenix in flight amidst flower sprays below a band of the bajixiang (Eight Buddhist Emblems) at the rim, and in the center of the interior with an iron-red five-clawed dragon reaching towards a flaming pearl.
5 1/8 in. (13 cm.) diam.
