AN INSCRIBED RECTANGULAR QINGTIAN SEAL
SIGNED CHEN JULAI, REPUBLIC PERIOD
The top and three sides of the seal are incised with various inscriptions, revealing that Chen Julai (1904-1984) had carved the seal in 1927 and presented it to Xie Zhiliu (1910-1997) for critique, and that the seal later came into the collection of Luo Zhenyu (1866-1940). The seal face is carved in intaglio with a three-character inscription, Shayang Xiang, Shayang County.
