Lot Essay

The present Autavia model 741603 is extremely rare and was never featured in any of the original Heuer catalogues or sales material. It is distinguished by its dial featuring luminous Arabic numerals and the high beat Valjoux 7740 movement. However, the bridge on all known examples is signed 7741 which is in fact the GMT variant of this movement. The majority of these known examples, such as the present watch, are KAF (Kenya Air Force) with military issue engravings on the back case.
