A LARGE FAMILLE VERTE DISH
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The dish is decorated to the interior with a Buddhist lion with a brocade ball at its feet, surrounded by birds and butterflies in flight and flowering lotus, all within a diaper border enclosing four floral cartouches. The exterior is painted with a stylised band of lotus. The base is painted with a lingzhi mark in a double circle within the channelled foot.
