A GREY AND CREAMY JADE MODEL OF A HORSE

The recumbent animal is carved in recumbent position with its head turned over its back, its tail flicked over its haunches. The stone is of an even grey tone with a large creamy inclusion to one side.
4 ¾ in. (12 cm.) long, hongmu stand
Provenance
Property of Miss Anne Makeig Jones (b. 1934), a direct descendant of the revered British Potter, Josiah Wedgwood I (1730 -1795), acquired in England prior to 1970.
