A WHITE JADE 'DRAGON' BELT BUCKLE
HAN DYNASTY (206 BC-220 AD)
The irregularly shaped buckle is decorated to the top with a dragon’s head, its twisting body and tail carved to one side depicted as abstract scrolls. The reverse is carved with a circular buckle in the form of a mythical beast’s head. The stone is of a milky white
tone with areas of calcification.
