JIAQING SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN IRON RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
The dish is finely enamelled to the interior with a central medallion depicting an opera scene in a fenced garden in which the female lead is dancing, surrounded by six female musicians playing various instruments. The well is decorated with detached floral blooms against a lavender-blue ground incised with an allover feathery scroll pattern which is repeated on the exterior.
7 1/2 in. (19 cm.) diam.
