Lot Essay

Universal Genève produced the Tri-Compax from the 1940s through the 1960s. The Tri-Compax watches came in a variety of sizes and styles. The present watch has a very charming aesthetic featuring a silvered dial, blued steel hands and a tachymeter scale to the outside of the dial calibrated for miles. The Arabic numerals offer a vintage style and furthermore the 14k gold case and movement that is stamped UOW indicates it was made especially for the American market.
