A Derby (Robt. Bloor) blue ground oviform ewerpainted with a harbour scene of figures in a row boat before sailing ships, cliffs and a fortified tower, within a cartouche moulded with scrolls, the reverse with a similar panel painted with a loose spray of flowers, the ground gilt with leaves suspending swags of fowers, the lower section and neck applied with dentil bands, with a leaf-moulded handle and frilled rim, supported by a square section base, printed iron-red mark -- 34cm. high, circa 1835
