A PALE CELADON JADE 'DOUBLE PEONY' WASHER
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The vessel is well-hollowed and is carved as two peony flowers joined by an openwork leafy gnarled branch, the petals of the flowers curl slightly inwards to form the rim. The details of the petals, the leaves, and the branch itself are finely incised. The stone is of a pale tone with russet inclusions.
