A MOULDED UNDERGLAZE BLUE, COPPER-RED AND CELADON-DECORATED 'LANDSCAPE' JAR
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The globular vessel is decorated with a moulded and incised continuous river landscape scene with pavilions, trees, and a sampan in underglaze blue, celadon, and copper-red. The shoulder is pierced with two pairs of apertures for handles. The base has an apocryphal Chenghua mark.
8 in. (20.3 cm.) diam.
