woodcut, 1511, on laid paper, without watermark, a very good impression of this extremely rare print, a small margin at left and narrow margins elsewhere, three small worms holes in the upper sheet, some pale stains, otherwise in good condition

Pierre Mariette II (1634-1716), Paris (Lugt 1789), dated 1694 (partially erased).
Another inscription, partially erased and illegible.
Two unidentified collector's marks verso (not in Lugt).

Hollstein records only two impressions of this early portrait print, one in Berlin and one in the Rosenwald Collection, now in the National Gallery of Art, Washington. Another impression is in the British Museum, London.
