NOTE:
Flower and Fruit paintings by Shen Zhou stemmed from the style of the Southern Song master Monk Fachang, also known as Mu Qi. The composition of this painting is very similar to the pomegranate-bearing branch found in two works attributed to Monk Fachang, now in the Palace Museum in Beijing and Taipei respectively.
