QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The pebble is naturalistically carved to depict a crouching toad, holding a spray of pomegranate in its mouth. The texture of its skin is rendered with irregular raised bosses, the underside is carved with webbed feet and holding a spray of pomegranate in its mouth.
