PROPERTY FROM A PRIVATE HONG KONG COLLECTOR (LOT 1312) The recipient of the painting is Mr. Wu Zengliang. He enrolled in the Department of Fine Art in Beijing Art Normal University and followed artists such as Li Ruinian, Zhang Anzhi and Wu Guanzhong. He graduated in 1963 when the academy changed its name to Beijing Fine Art Academy. Mr. Wu moved to Hong Kong in the late 1970s and taught in the Department of Professional Education in the Chinese University of Hong Kong between the early 1980s and 1985 when he taught paintings with Ying Po Chong (Xing Baozhuang, b.1940). Mr. Wu was the dealer of Wu Guanzhong in the 1980s, and helped the artist to hold exhibitions in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macau.
