Francis I pattern, comprising an oval centerpiece bowl on four short bracket feet, an oval bread tray and a shaped circular serving plate, each chased with clusters of fruit linked by scrolling foliage, the centers engraved with presentation inscriptions, marked on undersides and centerpiece bowl with date symbol
15 3/8 in. (39 cm.) long, the centerpiece bowl; 64 oz. (1,993 gr.)

Lot Essay

The engraved inscription on the centerpiece bowl reads: With Gratitude from The Republican Women of the Nation January 20th 1956; the bread tray inscribed Mamie Doud Eisenhower November 14, 1960 "With the affection and esteem of the Republican woman of America," and the circular serving plate engraved To Mamie Doud Eisenhower on November 14, 1958 from the Republican Women.
