Lot Essay

The present timepiece is offered in “like new” condition.

The RM28 automatic wristwatch continues the theme of water sports seen in the RM25. A divers dream, this example has a tripartite case, is water resistant up to 300 meters and is housed in a slightly smaller case measuring 47mm. The attractive case is unique with a curved design that also allows for increased comfort. On closer inspection one will notice the titanium torque screws on the rotating bezel. These can be adjusted individually and most notably, the bezel can only move while pressing two buttons and rotating at the same time, a design which allows for increased control.
The majority of the case produced in titanium and a lot of the movement is almost all carved from the same material which helps to keep this watch comfortably lightweight. While we are able to see the impeccable movement through the sapphire crystal case back, one will not notice on first glance the difference in the automatic winding system. An impressive addition, the rate of the rotor’s winding is in fact variable and can be adjusted according to the wearer’s lifestyle.
Highly sought-after, this timepiece acts for both form and function and offers an innovative and handsome example for the diver’s wristwatch.
