Arabic manuscript on paper, 252ff., plus four fly-leaves, each folio with 17ll. of black naskh in cloudbands, rosette verse markers, text panels within gold and polychrome rule, sura headings in gold thuluth within illuminated cartouches, catchwords, marginal medallions marking hizb, nisf and juz', khams and 'ashr marked in gold thuluth, opening illuminated bifolio with prayer in elegant gold thuluth on blue ground within cusped medallions, followed by a further illuminated bifolio framing 6ll. of text in clouds reserved against gold ground, preceding bifolio with gold and polychrome borders, final two bifolios similar, signed colophon, in Qajar lacquer binding with floral motif, the doublures with dense floral scrolls
